The Prog- And Melodic Rock Era
After a longer break and time out with music, I meet a member of a known local band .
Jochen Tilner asked me to join his band "Grand Illusion".
For some years this band was my home and real passion.
Unfortunately the band had to fight with very often changes of the band lineup.
It was frustrating to start with new musicians over and over.
The second main problem was - to find a good singer for these difficult songs we had in our setup.
But we managed to get bookings in some local clubs and had the chance to play support for many known bands.
We also managed to record the second Studio CD "Crosspoint".
Some songs from that CD are to find in the section "music".
Feel free to listen and enjoy.
It was no cover music, only our own compositions.
This era always had ups and downs and for me it was very difficult and even expensive to keep it going.
For several reasons, this Band ended in smoke after many line up changes.
Jochen and I decided to continue with "Grand illusion Spheres",
Following a different sound concept and more electronic based music.
But that was very difficult to produce a sound that we were fine with. without the support of some other musicians
Some smaller live gigs, and that's it.
The power had faded out and also the personal relation did not work anymore.
After that I was engaged in various Cover Bands, and got to know many new people.
But my main goal at this time was a different one, making my own musik.
Remixing well known songs, some own songs in the mix, not to be controlled or directed by others.
So I started to get my own studio equipment.
Try to learn and work with the technical setup to reach the next level.
Some samples of the time are in the music section too.
For example "devils daugther" and a cover of "Through the baricades" as the first two ones of this era.
